Instant Rebates for Energy-Efficient Pool Pumps

In Nevada, pools -- and the pumps that filter them -- are almost a necessity. If you're filtering your pool with a single-speed pump, NV Energy now offers valuable instant rebates to help you upgrade to an energy-efficient two-speed or variable-speed pump.

There are several good reasons to replace your single-speed pool pump with a new two-speed or variable-speed pool filtration pump:

More Information on Pool Pumps

Two-Speed Pumps are typically adequate for older pools. The two speeds of the motor are preset and cannot be adjusted. The high speed is used when more water flow is needed; for example using a pool cleaner, starting up your roof-mounted solar heater, or after back washing your Diatomaceous Earth (DE) or sand filter. Otherwise, the majority of your filtration should be done on the low speed. A two-speed pump will need a controller capable of switching the motor speeds automatically.

Variable-Speed Pumps presently provide the greatest potential for energy savings. Variable speed pumps allow greater flexibility and can be programmed for multiple speeds at the desired flow rate for each application. Contact one of our program partners to determine if your variable speed pump requires an additional control device to maximize energy savings.
